Yesterday we took a quick day trip to Indy. Wil had a doctor's appointment with his General Surgeon.
Wil has lost two pounds and is now 26 lbs., however he has grown a couple inches. The doctor thinks that he has grown enough to have another ventral hernia repair ( aka - tummy tuck ) . He had someone on his staff take pictures of Wil's abdomen and will be talking to Wil's Urologist and they will be giving us a call soon to schedule a surgery. I'm not so sure what the Urologist will do - they've talked about reconstructing the bladder and reconstructing the penis. I thought that those would be done when Wil was about 10-12, who knows? They will however have to break his legs (hips) again and put him in traction. Last time (Wil was 1 1/2 ) it did work very well but they will need to do it again and get his legs turned in more. Of course I have no clue what this next surgery will hold except for the 'tummy tuck'. Other than all of this (above) Wil is doing great!
Later this morning we are going to see the cows at our cousins Dairy Farm. This should be fun for the kids! Wil had us pray last night that the cows won't try to eat him. I've written before about Wil's fear of 'petting animals'. They always attack him, we feed geese, they attack him, people have puppies, they attack him, kitten's , they attack him, we feed goats and deer, they attack him! LOL None of the animals attack in a mean way, they either chew on him, lick him, play with him, or mildly bite him. None of it is malicious, except maybe the geese! LOL It's just funny to watch him he really doesn't care for animals. He will still have fun today!
